BASS CANYON CAMPOUT - 2027 Wallsburg, Utah

Will there be a campout next year? Hike? Boating? Steaks and Potatoes?

Date?

place?

1495 West main cyn road

Wallsburg Ut 84082

There is a dirt lane that turns right off the main road, along a line of pine trees, to a HOUSE. You’ll see a Dump Truck… Farm stuff all over the place, chickens. You’ll feel… you are in the WRONG place. Keep going through their yard… past the chicken houses and down into the trees. You’ll cross a bridge over a stream and emerge up into… the campground. Drive slowly because of chickens and dogs and turkeys.

Children?

We are going to do children a little different this year. Last year the children came Saturday, and that was a predictable mess. So this year… bring your children Thursday and Friday until 5:00PM. Friday night we have some adult activities starting and gently request all kids under 18 head out.

So… bring your children from Wednesday to Friday afternoon. There will be alcohol allowed, but NOTHING ELSE. Friday afternoon by 5:00 we’ll have to say goodbye to the children, as more adult events will take place!

Schedule

Wednesday

Evening is set up and relaxing.

Thursday

BOAT DAY at the lake.

Friday

Hike.

SATURDAY

Corn Hole Tournament: A full Corn Hole Tournament will be run.

9 Square: A full Corn Hole Tournament will be run.

Drum Circle: We will have a Drum Circle starting at 7:00PM sharp. Nels is coming, and has about 40 drums, and other gadgets, and he will lead the whole tribe in a musical event. Jennie and I have done it with him at Black Sheep this year, and are very excited to share this experience with you.

Jason taking his drumming duties very seriously! (grin)

Sacred Theater

At 8:00PM we’ll start Sacred Theater.

After that we will hang out, do rose and thorn and leaf, clean the place up, and say goodbye for another year!

Good to Know

  • Weather: Last year it was really cold, especially at night. So dress accordingly!

Lighting the Way: At last year’s campout, we lit candles to honor those who couldn’t join us and to send prayers to those in need. This year, as we “Be a Star!” let’s continue this tradition, shining our light for the whole tribe—near and far.

Our Candle-Lighting Ritual
Each year, we take a moment to light candles for those who can’t be with us, those who need extra love, or anyone on our hearts. Bring a name or intention to share during our Friday Starry Style Sacred Theater Night. Let’s honor our tribe’s stars—seen and unseen—together. During the candle-lighting, take a moment to think: Who in our tribe has been a star in your life? How can you shine for someone else this weekend?

 SACRED THEATER

Sacred Theater: Shine Bright on SATURDAY Night!

You know the drill. Everyone participates. 2 minutes, gently timed, but no exceptions. We will go 2 minutes in respect to EVERYONE there. I’ll have a time and a gong! Gentle! But tight.

 Contribution supporting our hosts

We’re so grateful to Amy and David for sharing their beautiful farm in Wallsburg, Utah, for our campout. This year Ame has made us a beautiful quilt! Everyone will asked to participate in a raffle, buying tickets at $1.00 a ticket as the contribution to our time on their beautiful farm. Sunday morning we will draw the tickets, and the winner receives the quilt she hand made!

To honor their generosity, let’s keep the farm clean and tidy during our stay. Amy feels we over paid her last year, but I would still ask you all to be generous! Venmo and cash are welcomed. We’ll pay them direclty to her and / or David.

Let’s shine as a tribe by leaving the farm better than we found it!
